The Amadeus brand was established in 1992 through the collaboration between designer Bernard Byk and researcher-acoustician Michel Deluc.
Over the years, it has become an important resource for sound professionals, with a client list that includes prominent national and international musical, theatrical, and scientific institutions.
For over three decades, Amadeus has been designing, manufacturing, and marketing a wide range of products for sound diffusion, processing, and spatialization, striving to combine high technology, elegance, and emotion.
Over the past thirty years, Amadeus has designed, manufactured and installed several hundred reference monitoring systems in the most prestigious commercial and residential studios.
In 2015, in partnership with Jean Nouvel, Amadeus extended its activities into the world of luxury hi-fi with the creation of the Philharmonia range, initially designed for the mixing and mastering studios of the Paris Symphony Hall.
The design of studio and hi-fi monitors requires special attention to timbre, spectral coherence, frequency response and impulse response speed.
At Amadeus, we view our products as precision instruments, crafted to serve artists, engineers, mixers, and other professionals. Each development is designed to translate an electrical signal into an acoustic experience with absolute fidelity and without artifice.
Our engineers, acousticians, electro-acousticians and other designers work on the development of studio monitors, hi-fi or live products with the same attention to detail that has defined the Amadeus sound for over thirty years.
Born from the meeting of a designer and an acoustics researcher, Amadeus is based on the idea that details define design.
The unmistakable stylistic signature of our products, their incomparable clean lines, their often characteristic materials and finishes, are all features that characterize and distinguish the products developed by Amadeus over time.
At Amadeus, we design sound diffusion systems with the aim of integrating them into different spaces.
Each space has its own acoustic and, above all, architectural characteristics.
Our job is to take these phenomena into account and make our sound diffusion systems as seamless and integrated as possible.
Amadeus has become a place where craftsmanship and technological innovation come together and complement each other.
We take pleasure in constantly surpassing and renewing ourselves, exploring materials and technologies in all their forms, without compromise or limit.
Since 1992, Amadeus has had a department dedicated to the development of completely customized acoustic and electro-acoustic solutions.
Among other things, this department is dedicated to the development of exclusive sound objects, unique and dedicated acoustic and electro-acoustic solutions for a varied clientele, including theaters, opera houses, studios, musicians, producers, composers, polymorphous artists, research centers, etc.
A loudspeaker made of oxidized Corten steel, loudspeakers made of natural stone, an electro-acoustic device hidden in a flying grand piano, high-power water-resistant subwoofers made of Corian, a 40-meter-long sound bar, loudspeakers covered in gold leaf, a spatialized sound wall containing 400 bottles of Champagne...
Amadeus’ custom-made sound objects defy convention, but not the demands of excellence and performance. The only limit? Your imagination.
Thanks to the creative and technical power of our engineers, designers and craftsmen, any idea, even the most audacious, can become a reality. Imagine, ask and let us make your dreams come true, without limits.
To step into our workshops is to enter a world where the extraordinary becomes possible.
