Axel Jougleux is a French engineer specializing in acoustics, electroacoustics, and vibration control. A graduate of the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC), he also studied at Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and is currently completing an international Master’s degree in Electroacoustics at Le Mans Université. Passionate about sound, music, and technology, Axel has developed strong skills in low-frequency control, active noise cancellation, and the design of electroacoustic absorbers.
At Amadeus, he is contributing to an innovative R&D project centered on active metamaterials for subtractive acoustics at low frequencies. His work focuses on prototyping an active absorber system that combines loudspeaker control, real-time DSP implementation, and acoustic modeling in impedance tubes. In parallel, he conducted research at UTC on nonlinear passive absorption using viscoelastic membranes for music studio environments.
With a multidisciplinary background that spans structural dynamics, analog electronics, signal processing, and sound design, Axel approaches acoustic engineering with both technical precision and a strong sense of application. He is particularly interested in projects that connect theoretical modeling with physical prototyping in real-world acoustic environments.
