Amadeus, the France-based manufacturer of high-end sound reinforcement systems and custom studio loudspeakers, has delivered a major audio installation for a live production commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Xi’an Incident. The system features over fifty Amadeus speakers with advanced 3D Sound control, supporting one of China’s most ambitious historical theatrical productions.
Staged in a state-run theater located on the original site of the event, the production brings together nearly 700 actors and twenty monumental 30-foot soft LED screens. The Amadeus sound system plays a central role in synchronizing sound, image, and performance, providing precise spatial control and clarity across the venue.
The Xi’an Incident live show revisits the pivotal 1938 episode in which Chinese leader Chiang Kai-shek was kidnapped in Xi’an by forces seeking to end internal conflict and redirect national efforts against Japanese occupation. The negotiations that followed, later involving communist leader Zhou Enlai,ultimately reshaped China’s political trajectory and contributed to the formation of modern China, as described by Oxford University Press.
Designed to meet the technical and artistic demands of a production of this scale, the Amadeus sound system delivers reliable performance and detailed sound reproduction throughout the theater.
